Alison Webb, Ph.D. Founder

Dr. Webb is a biologist who has been researching and publishing on animal physiology for the last decade. She holds a B.S. degree in Zoology, a M.S. degree in Biology, and a Ph.D. in Biology/Ecology. She completed her doctoral degree at Utah State University where she researched the physiological consequences of Ecotourism on endangered Bahamian Rock Iguanas. She has worked on other notable research projects with Takydromus Grass lizards in Taiwan, lizards of the Southwestern US deserts, reptiles and amphibians of the Southern US, and invasive Green Iguanas in Southern Florida.   Dr. Webb spent two years as a National Science Foundation fellow with the GK-12 program which extensively trained fellows on how to bring academia level research to grades K-12. She has taught University courses for both undergraduate and graduate students on Mammalogy, Comparative Animal Physiology, Human Physiology, and General Biology. Her time spent mentoring students in laboratory and field-based research techniques is what inspired her to start Pacific Northwest Biology. She is passionate about sharing her research experience while encouraging others to be curious and intentional problem solvers.
