Alison Webb, Ph.D.
Dr. Webb is an ecologist and fiber arts enthusiast who has worked with wool and natural dyes for the past two decades. She completed her Ph.D. in Ecology at Utah State University, where she studied ecological physiology and humans' impacts on their environment. During graduate school, she served as a fellow with the National Science Foundation to bring academia-level research to a broader audience. This experience inspired her to start her own business, Pacific Northwest Biology, and offer science and art-integrated classes to her community. She utilizes fiber arts and foraging to teach ecological concepts and functional anatomy through workshops and her social media platforms. The magic of creating with your hands while pondering function, form, and relationship never gets old! Mushroom foraging with her family, fiber arts,, and creating new color and textile combinations with natural dyes are her favorite activities.
